Our friends Nathan and Sarah gave us a copy of Beatles and Nirvana nursery lullabies. They're acoustic and perfect for a baby. I love them. I need to get some of those speakers for the belly to play the music for the baby. Tom and I haven't ventured into Babies-R-Us yet. To be honest I'm sort of afraid of the place. I'm have to admit that I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with all of the things I don't know and all of the things I need to buy. I'm trying to take it a week at a time for now.
My goal this weekend:
-get thank you notes in the mail! Seriously! It's been long enough and for that I apologize.
It's a good weekend to get thank you notes done because it's snowing up here in Fort Collins and I believe it's supposed to be a pretty yucky couple of days. I'm ready for the spring weather- bbqing and yard games (minus the drinking of course). I am craving beer. I think it's the time of year. I was walking around our little downtown last weekend after getting my hair did
Tom's doing well. The man is beaming all of the time like a proud papa. I swear you would think he was the one with the pregnancy glow
We're planning on taking a small babymoon in May. We're thinking Aspen, Steamboat, or Vail. I'm flexible on the options. Vail has my favorite spa at the Cascades Hotel. I have never been to Aspen but I've heard it's really cute. It's probably been 20 years since I was in Steamboat. We were thinking about going somewhere farther away like Seattle but I think a lengthy car ride with decreasing bladder capacity isn't a swell idea and I'm a bad flier with out my meds.
The husband will be home soon. I should go heat up his philly cheesesteak sandwich that I so lovingly ordered. I even thought to prepare i.e. order a side of fries.
Next week is doctors appointment at week 16. Maybe we'll have an inkling as to the sex of the baby. Fingers crossed. Team Pink!
Oh and we think we have agreed on a boy's name. We both like Ethan or at least we both like it this week.
Night!
